Professional Coaching

 

At Success 121, we recognise that sometimes professionals have requirements – either for themselves or their teams – that are more specific than the topics covered in “The Outstanding Professional”.

 

For example, we have all had moments in our career that were particularly crucial.

 

Perhaps we left a job or cultivated an important relationship. Or we confronted a difficult boss / client. Or a crucial change arrived via external circumstance e.g. reorganisation of the company, or a change in the marketplace.

 

Professional coaching supports people during crucial times of change. It enlarges their capacity for decision-making and action, as a result of which they achieve extraordinary results in less time.

 

 

Why coaching?

 

The results we get a product of two things:

  • the actions we take, and
  • the person we are being, as we take the action

For example, both George and Tom are well organised managers. Both of them probably take similar actions to coordinate their teams. But George may come across as being pedantic and controlling, while Tom’s approach may be light and appreciative.

 

Coaching helps people to develop at the level of the person as well as the level of action. Working together, we build confidence as well as competence.

 

 

When do professionals use a coach?

 

  • thinking about changing job, career or direction in business
  • having issues with other directors, partners or managers
  • recently got a new job or opportunity, and want to make impact
  • feeling stuck, not making enough progress, wishing to accelerate
  • wishing to be better rewarded for the job they are doing
  • wanting to further improve their time-management, presentation skills, marketing ability or reputation
  • following a hunch that they have much more to offer
  • wishing to enlarge the capacities of their team

 

How does it work?

 

We have an initial session in order to determine what would be the best approach for you. A coaching relationship will typically last 6-12 months. As this type of work takes time and commitment, we usually ask for a minimum three-month engagement.

 

Sessions are entirely confidential.

 

There will normally be a short review at the end of each session, in order to determine what has been of most value and to plan the preparation needed for the next meeting.

 

Sessions take place by telephone, and there is no limit to the number of sessions that the client can have. The coach’s diary is accessible via the web, and the coachee books the next session whenever is convenient for them.
